Dr Allan McCay and Dr Jeanette Kennett’s article ‘My brain made me do it: will neuroscience change the way we punish criminals?’ was originally published in The Conversation (https://theconversation.com/my-brain-made-me-do-it-will-neuroscience-change-the-way-we-punish-criminals-57571). In it they raise one of the central questions we will use the database to address, namely whether our deepening understanding of the neural bases of behaviour will change our judgements of responsibility. It has since been re-published by The Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/can-neuroscience-revolutionise-the-way-we-punish-criminals-a7056476.html), Adam Kolber’s (Brooklyn Law School) Neuroethics and the Law  blog (http://kolber.typepad.com/) and the Sydney Health Law Blog (https://sydneyhealthlaw.com/2016/05/31/my-brain-made-me-do-it-will-neuroscience-change-the-way-we-punish-criminals/) .
